Forgotten shots
I'm in a rush to process some photos for Christmas, although it is already too late (saturday before Christmas).
I came across this shot. I just love the painterly effect in the background. Taken with the 50 1.8, which I just sold. Yummy. Of course, I converted to black & white. I've decided black & white appeals to me more. :)
And, I got my Xmas present early--a Wacom Intuos tablet. Yippee!!!! I've just got to learn how to use it. How intimidating. And then I've got to learn painter, which came with. I need to quit my job now while my kids still remember me, not just someone who's back is to them.
And then a couple of pictures playing with Photoshop CS3 beta. Ooooo.....I'm in love! :) (the snow shots, in case they are out of order).
And my wishes for everyone. And some people might actually get a hard copy--eventually! (issue with envelope).
xoxoxo

Favourites from 2006
Frederique challenges us to identify our favourite photos from 2006, using one word only to describe the photo. Well, that was impossible. But here are five of the more memorable (to me) photos from 2006.
And the descriptor:
Borrowed (from Frederique!)
Literacy
Play
Trust
Love

And links to the others in the game:
Frederique
Jesse
Lanne
(And thanks to all the recent visitors who've left such nice message. I love that you visit & I love to visit others. :) )

A boast
I see all these boasts all the time about some great photo shoot. I can't compete. I only photograph for myself. But, I do have a boast. My daughter started kindergarten in September. This week was her first report card & parents-teacher meeting. Wow. I was totally floored. The teacher could not say enough wonderful things about her....natural leader, inspires her fellow classmates, excellent communicator, wonderful initiative (took it upon herself to create an activity to teach the other kids during class), smart... I'm so proud of her.
